The William H. and Elizabeth Gray Danforth University Center is a vibrant part of student university life and is a popular place to eat and study. Many student groups including the Student Life Newspaper and Washington University Television (WUTV) are housed on the top floor of this building.
The Danforth University Center’s mission is to offer each member of the Washington University in St. Louis community a place on campus with an environment to work, relax and gather. It provides a welcoming space for all who participate in the life of the university – students, faculty, staff, alumni, neighbors, parents and friends.
Affectionately known as the "DUC," it is a crossroads for all of these constituencies as they make use of its courtyards, meeting rooms, lounges, and upscale and casual dining venues. The Danforth University Center is the most popular dining area on campus and by far has the most options and seating. This building is a vibrant part of student university life and is a popular place to eat and study.
Nooks and crannies of quiet study space, free wireless internet throughout the building, an infant nursing room, open courtyards, rocking chairs and an outdoor fire pit offer unique spaces for each individual.
