The Mildred Lane Kemper Art Museum’s collection, one of the finest university collections in the United States, contains strong holdings of 19th-, 20th-, and 21st-century European and American works of art. The Gateway Festival Orchestra performs concerts in the open-air shell in the Brookings Quadrangle. The informal atmosphere and free admission encourage family attendance.
