Cyclotron Building

The Cyclotron Building was completed in 1941.

The building was constructed under the recommendation of physicist Arthur Hughes to produce radioisotopes for medical and biological research.

The original cyclotron was an 80-ton machine that was used to isolate the world’s first plutonium.
